Popular repertoire
Students who are interested in popular music can include it as part of their individual lesson plan.
RCM and ABRSM preparation
Exam preparation is available for students working toward RCM or ABRSM piano goals, drawing on the instructor’s own ARCT and ABRSM examination experience.
Students who reach a suitable stage may be introduced to others. A band forms only when the instrument mix, levels and schedules fit; showcase participation is confirmed separately. See how matching and the annual showcase work.
Your first visit
A 30-minute introduction, not an audition
The trial lesson lets the student and instructor learn about each other’s starting point and teaching style. The instructor assesses the student’s current level; complete beginners can learn basic posture and complete a few short introductory exercises.

- Background
- Holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from York University and studied with pianists Christina Quilico and Katherine Dowling. Performance diplomas earned through examination include the RCM ARCT in Piano Performance and ABRSM Grade 8 Piano.
- Performance & experience
- Has broad performance experience in solo recitals, chamber music, piano duets and vocal accompaniment.
- Teaching approach
- Uses a student-centred approach shaped around individual strengths and learning styles. Lessons focus on classical piano, with popular repertoire and RCM or ABRSM exam preparation also available.
