The studio watches each student's level and progress, introduces students at a similar stage to each other, and a band forms when the fit is right. Every year, student bands, solo and duo acts share the stage at the Lost In Music student showcase.

How bands form
Introduced, not assigned
There is no sign-up sheet and no fixed schedule. Bands grow out of the one-to-one lessons, at the pace the students themselves are ready for.

Students are introduced
The studio introduces students from a similar period and at a similar stage to each other — guitarists meet bassists, drummers meet singers.

The band forms when ready
When the mix of instruments, levels and schedules fits, the band forms and starts working toward the stage.
The road to the stage
How showcase preparation works
Once a band is set for the showcase, preparation follows a steady rhythm — enough time to get a set ready, without rushing anyone.
About 3 months out
Line-ups are confirmed
Band members are normally confirmed about three months before the showcase, and teachers and students are notified to start preparing the performance repertoire.
1–2 months out
Weekly band rehearsals begin
Bands move into weekly rehearsals in a professional rehearsal space, with an instructor guiding the band through every session.
Showcase day
One stage, every format
Student bands, solo performers and duos share the stage at the annual Lost In Music student showcase.

Every year the studio hosts a showcase where students perform what they have been working on. It is not only for bands — solo performers and duos share the same stage. The 2026 edition is tentatively set for December 5; the date and venue are confirmed by the studio closer to the time.
